A woman resident of the B.D. Flour Mill area submitted a complaint stating that she had entered into a deal with a local property dealer for the purchase of a plot and had paid an advance amount of approximately ₹2.5 lakh. However, the dealer neither handed over the plot nor returned the advance payment. Taking serious note of the complaint, Vij directed the DSP, Ambala Cantonment, to register a case and initiate appropriate legal action.
In another complaint, a resident alleged that a property located in Bengali Mohalla was under litigation and covered by a court stay order. Despite the stay, the property was allegedly sold by another party. Vij directed the DSP, Ambala Cantonment, to investigate the matter and take action in accordance with the law.
Directs Arrest of Accused in POCSO Case
Family members of a victim also approached Vij, alleging that the accused named in a case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act had not yet been arrested. After hearing the complaint, the Minister directed the Mahesh Nagar Police Station to take immediate action and ensure the arrest of the accused in accordance with law.
In another case, a complainant informed the Minister that his electricity connection had been disconnected in 2012, but he had recently received an electricity bill amounting to several lakhs of rupees. Vij directed the Superintending Engineer (SE) of the Energy Department to conduct a detailed inquiry into the matter. An elderly couple from Dalipgarh also submitted a complaint alleging that their son and daughter-in-law had assaulted them, forced them out of their home and were continuously harassing them. Vij directed the police to take appropriate legal action. The Minister also issued necessary directions to the concerned authorities in several other public grievance cases.
Among those present during the public hearing were DSP (Cantonment) Kuldeep, XEN (Power Department) Vikas, XEN (PWD) Ritesh Agrawal, Municipal Engineer Kulbhushan, along with officers from various other departments.
